This could be the international flag of planet Earth

Designed by Oskar Pernefeldt, this proposal for a flag that represents our entire planet could have a future on Mars.

Centered in the flag, seven rings form a flower – a symbol of the life on Earth. The rings are linked to each other, which represents how everything on our planet, directly or indirectly, are linked. The blue field represents water which is essential for life – also as the oceans cover most of our planet’s surface. The flower’s outer rings form a circle which could be seen as a symbol of Earth as a planet and the blue surface could represent the universe.

Gröning beginnt ein bürgerliches Leben, als der Krieg vorbei ist, er arbeitet als Lohnbuchhalter in einer kleinen Fabrik. Niemand weiß, was er vorher gemacht hat. Solange er nur mit Geld hantiert, ist er auf der sicheren Seite, das war immer so. Er hat einen Dackel und sammelt Briefmarken. Er ist Mitglied in einem Verein. 1985 besucht er die jährliche Hauptversammlung, er redet mit einem anderen Sammler über Briefmarken und Politik, der andere sagt: Es ist unglaublich, dass jetzt schon Leute strafrechtlich verfolgt werden, die den Holocaust leugnen, obwohl der ja tatsächlich nie stattgefunden hat.
Es ist ein großer Moment im Leben von Oskar Gröning. Eine Explosion, so, als wenn jemand eine Nadel in einen Luftballon sticht, der ans Äußerste gedehnt ist. Gröning sagt: Ich weiß da etwas mehr, wir können bei Gelegenheit darüber sprechen. Der Sammlerfreund schenkt ihm ein Buch, "Die Auschwitz-Lüge" des Altnazis Thies Christophersen. Gröning schickt das Buch zurück, er legt ein paar Blätter Papier dazu, Selbstgeschriebenes, seine Antwort auf Christophersen.
Ich habe alles gesehen, schreibt er. Die Vergasungen, die Verbrennungen, die Selektionen. In Auschwitz sind 1,5 Millionen Juden ermordet worden. Ich war dabei.
